Product Description One myth from the history of every great civilization spoke of beings descending from heaven and using human and animal DNA to create giant offspring. Rabbinical authorities, Septuagint translators and early church fathers understood this as a factual record of history. The phenomenon began with the Watchers who spawned Nephilim resulting in judgment from God. The ancients also knew Bible passages that predict the Nephilim will return when Iraq and Iran are invaded and destroyed. Is this prophecy about to be fulfilled? Is man, in his rush to play god through biological weapons, biotechnology, and genetic manipulation, opening gateways to a supernatural unknown? Nephilim Stargates and the Return of the Watchers is a glimpse into this past, present, and future phenomena, with an eye on what sages and scientists believe and what futurists and prophets may fear. Thomas Horn is CEO of Raiders News Network, a syndicated columnist, and the bestselling author of The Ahriman Gate. He has written two other books as well as dozens of published editorials and magazine articles. His works have been referred to by writers of the LA Times Syndicate, MSNBC, Christianity Today, Coast to Coast, World Net Daily, and White House Correspondents. Thomas resides outside Portland, Oregon.

Confusion and lack of commitment! A money waster in the extreme! December 30, 2008 3 out of 3 found this review helpful
There may be truth in this book but it is delivered in such poor fashion as to render it to the ranks of sub-science fiction.
Firstly the author never commits to a position. He at times seems to be a creationist and at others an evolutionist. He moves between the camps of Secular and Christian like the very serpent he is trying to identify. So are the Nephilim the offspring of the Sons of God (Angels), Demons, Aliens or some mutant hybrids? Well if you read this book - you'll never find out.
Secondly the author seems to think that his work of fiction is so real that it requires constant reference and review. I got to the point where I started skipping segments when I saw it was yet again a piece of the author's fictional book.
Thirdly and I am sorry if I offend any of you out there - but the intent of the author is the purpose of any book NOT what you think it means. When I say the "sky is blue" I mean the "sky" is "blue". You can attempt to make the statement say whatever you want but what I said was the "sky is blue". When it comes to the Bible which this author quotes regularly or should I say he quotes the versions that suit his dogma (and yes he is a Catholic fan), he makes his interpretations fit his so-called facts and not the other way around. For example, in Matthew, Jesus states that he will build His Church and the gates of Hell will not stand against it. This author then uses the word "gates" and creates the what-if scenario (of which this book is full of them) of what if the gates of Hell are Stargates or Portals. He forces his viewpoint upon the text instead of allowing the context and the Bible to define itself. He clearly does not have even the basic grasp of Hermeneutics or any consideration other than what he wants to promote. Understand this author is listed as writing for Christianity today and therefore the above point is valid.
Fourthly, why is it when you need to prove that a date has some form of validity you start measuring where things supposedly happened? In the book the author attempts to show that Roswell somehow has secret meaning in where the UFO crashed. Of course, in order to find this secret you must measure the distance from here to there etc. The only problem is that the measurements are in miles! What if the aliens used Jewish cubits or even worse the Metric System? Get real! You can make anything fit if you use the system of measurement of choice.
Summary of the book before you waste your money:
The Mayan calendar ends on the 21st of December 2012. According to Sitchin and Ancient Astronaut man old Eric V.D. and others the Nephilim are coming back (this is one area the author chooses to use the work of people that are so anti the Bible it is not funny - he should have quoted his fiction again instead). The Nephilim are going to continue their work on Hybridization but watch out the US Government has invaded Iraq, captured Babylon and now could have access to Nephilim DNA buried in a cave. The US are creating Super-Soldiers (wait I saw this in X-Files). They are going to mix the DNA of Human's with animals and plants - now you can grow your own vegetables right out of your own limbs - no more food shortage. The Nephilim could be fallen Angels but they could also be aliens because of the discovery of a planet out there - not named. (This is one of the areas of lack of commitment - which one is it?) If you have a good work of fiction - reference it over and over and over again in a work of so-called non-fiction.
If you want something more accurate - read Chuck Missler's work on the subject (referenced in this work wrongly as John Missler).
Personal note to the author - if you are going to use the Bible please read it. The Sons of God were the parents of the Nephilim not the Nephilim! Let the Bible interpret itself - there are passages over and over that talk about "gates", they are the central place for decision making not Demonic travel. And most importantly, the central figure of the Bible is Jesus Christ not the Nephilim. And most importantly - HE is still in control not the US Government, Nephilim or Anti-Christ.
Don't buy this book - it is a waste of time. There is more truth in the series Stargate!
Reader's Compensation December 20, 2008 1 out of 2 found this review helpful
Have you ever heard of worker's compensation? Well, after beginning the first and second chapter, you will be eligible for reader's compensation after exposing your eyes to this verbal train-wreck. I only got as far as chapter 4, then I had to begin from the beginning again because the idea(s) did not flow; I wanted to make sure that I was not missing anything. The words are like railway cars that are unhitched... having no sense of direction and no central idea to conduct them.
As I awoke this morning, I said to myself that after I meditated that I would pick-up the book and read another two chapters. While meditating, the thought came that I needed to donate this book. In all seriousness, I was not even thinking of this book - as the goal to meditation is to quiet the mind and think of nothing - well, my guide insisted that I move on and donate the book because it is in no way beneficial and once you have given your time to something, you can never get it back. So, spend your time (and your money) wisely.
Keep the mind tuned to a positive frequency!

Love & Fire...
Not what I expected December 13, 2008 I found the book lacking; the author explored several different avenues when looking at the Nephilim, comparing them to the ancient gods of Egypt, Greece and Rome. He makes some very convincing arguments. But in the second half of the book, after Chapter 12 he seems to use his other book as filler. Almost as if he has run out of material to write about.
I find it difficult to accept his reasoning for the Roswell incident. He explains the relationship between the different aspects of the crash of the UFO at Roswell. But according to the author, the crash itself was meant to be an announcement to mankind that advanced alien races are here and are trying to make contact, appears to be a stretch. I don't have a degree in astrophysics, but wouldn't it have been less costly to just phone instead of crashing a flying saucer.
I feel that this book is a good start on explaining what we might encounter by the year 2012.
Too New Age for me October 2, 2008 13 out of 16 found this review helpful
I bought this book after reading Patrick Heron's wonderful book "Nephilim and the Pyramids of the Apocolypse" and was realy disappointed.
Horn's book stays within the same theme as Heron's book, (beings mixed DNA with pre-flood humans) but for me, that is the only thing they have in common.
Where Heron's book stays within a Christian theme (the beings were fallen angels, led by Satan) Horn mixes New Age themes and it becomes a bit confusing. Horn describes both fallen angels AND super-intelligent beings from other planets. Does he think they are the same?? I really don't know. He mentions fallen angels, UFO's and ET's as if they are separate entities.
There is no message of salvation in "Nephilim Stargates". In fact, I really didn't come away with any message except something bad is coming our way and the world is ending in 2012. If I wasn't a Christian and didn't believed in salvation, I would probably come away from the book with a sense of dread and hopelessness. Maybe I misunderstood the book thinking it was Christian, so it could be my fault.
He does quote Scripture, but some of the quotes were nothing close to what I referenced in my KJV Bible. In fact, some quoted scriptures seemed to be completely rewritten, or completely misinterpreted. Very dangerous to me.
He does quote a lot from other authors and even devotes a large section to his fictional book he has written on this subject.
I would pass this one up and instead, read Patrick Heron's book I referenced above.
Waking Up September 29, 2008 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
This book is indeed some of the best work I've read in Christian/Ufology and it is backed in scripture. We don't know exactly every detail of the coming events but we know the best detail. This work should be with every Christian believer who can chew (meat) not milk. I do believe as the God says the enemy is very deceitful and uses many tricks. Also believe that they are not from outer space at all but dwell with us on this planet. It's more marketable for them to romanticize their agenda instead of saying what is really true and that they are bound on the earth by the Almighty.
