Album Description Gary Moore is acknowledged as one of the finest guitarists that the British Isles has ever produced. In a career that dates back to the sixties, Moore has graced the line-ups of several notable rock bands including Thin Lizzy, Colosseum II and Skid Row, to name but three, and to this day maintains a highly successful solo career. With his latest studio album "Bad For You Baby", Gary continues with the sequence of blues rock albums that he began on Eagle Records with "Old, New, Ballads, Blues" and continued on "Close As You Get". Mixing original tunes with Blues classics that Gary has rediscovered, "Bad For You Baby" reaffirms Moore's exceptional talent as a guitarist and his deep insight into and feel for the Blues as a living musical form.

True blues guitar December 20, 2008 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
Gary Moore is a great guitar player. He is the meaning of burning up the strings of a Les Paul. This is just another CD everybody needs for there collection of Gary Moore music.
Bad For You Baby - Gary Moore December 17, 2008 I was surprised to see a new Gary Moore album so soon after the previous "Close As You Get" set, and I'm pleased to say that I was very pleasantly surprised as well. This is probably his best blues effort since "Still Got The Blues", and dispenses with the "heavy" approach displayed on "Scars" and "Power Of The Blues"(both of which reminded me of Led Zeppelin's take on blues - not neccesarily a bad thing!). Gary returns to a crisper and more melodic style here, and his guitar playing is amazing! A friend remarked that a lot of his solos on this album had a Rory Gallagher feel to them - and I can't think of any other Irish guitarist more fitting to honour Rory's memory. The original songs are very authentic in feeling and content, and blend seamlessly with the blues covers - "Thirty Days" is a ripper! If you appreciate great electric blues - buy it!
WE WANT MOORE!!!! December 11, 2008 Back for you Baby has to be one of the best releases for 2008!Gary is in ripping form with this classic blues/rocker. Moore's playing just hits you right in the face and soars through your ear drums in a way only the veteran rocker can deliver. 'Back for you' is one of Gary Moore's finest album in years on par with such '80 classic 'rockers' as Corridors of Power and Victims of the Future, but on this album its a vintage taste of his prowess with a blend of 'down and dirty' blues and classic hard rock ,remember the Irish rocker had to switch from playing 'hard rock' to the 'Blues' to make a name for himself in the US. Gary Moore one of the greatest guitarist ever rips through the fretboard on 'Back for you baby', on the epics I'll love you more than you'll ever know and Trouble ain't far behind but the ballad 'Holding on, is worth the price of this Cd, a classic Moore which could easily become a #1 single. If you want 'classic blues' with with a 'hard rocking' edge this album is for you!
Another Great albumn from Garry Moore December 6, 2008 Ive been a fan of Gary for quite sometime and have all his albums. This is another great addition to his catalog. Gary is probably at least in the U.S. the most underated guitarist there is. For anyone who hasn't taken the chance to give Gary Moore a listen, this cd would be great start. But I would recommend almost anything He's done.

Excellent new release from one of the masters of the electric guitar.
Consistently good songwriting and some of the hippest, hottest blues fretwork you'll likely hear from any corner of the world- muscular, killer tone(s) and cuts like a knife.
if you like GM, worth every penny. Highly recommended-
